Freedom and Independence May Be a Bit Overvalued

Total independence is great until you totally screw it up

Freedom and independence are great, until you get stuck. 

Then, all of a sudden, certain people you have

 undervalued become very important.

True Security

Security doesn't come from being self sufficient.

It comes from being held by strong and loving hands.

" I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any 

man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater 

than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." John 10:28-29

Appearing Impresive

There are those who have learned and cultivated the art of appearing impressive. 

Finding the right setting and placing yourself there gives that impression. 

Being truly impressive is another matter.

Make Your Own Doors

Some wait for an open door. Others use 

what they've been given to 

make their own door. 

Schooled by a bug

If having a bug for a role model in your life would be  an improvement, 

go to that bug and learn what to do immediately.  

Some serious changes need to take place. 

“Go to the ant, you sluggard;  

consider its ways 

and be wise.”

The Shame of a Missed Calling.

Don't let this sad fate be yours. 

Find out what you are supposed to do and do it!

Late to the Party

If you wait too long to get up off of the sofa and

 get in on what's happening,  you may find that the party has moved on without you.

Fearsome but Friendly

What you may see as a large and dangerous adult that needs to be fled, 

a child sees as a loving parent they can cuddle up to.

More Than a Pose.

Friends may return from trips with posed pictures of them pushing over

the Leaning Tower of Pisa or holding the Moon in the palm of their hands.

This little bear faces a tree much smaller than the Moon or the Tower of Pisa.

But with this difference: He is not posing. He is really going to climb that thing.

Dressing up animals is all good fun and everything until the day you realise 

they look better in your clothes than you do.

A dangerous time of life for 

older ladies and chickens.

You might have to eat a lot of bugs 

before you look fabulous 

and are ready to fly

Manifest Affection

The gentle affections 

of a tender love 

manifest themselves 

in a gracious manner

 beautiful to behold.

"Raised by wolves" is said as if it were a bad thing. 

At least wolves do some raising. 

Plenty of human parents do little or none.

Givers and Takers

Giving others what they want can make you very popular, 

but it can also make you very tired.

A Round Success. Or Not.

Fatness is a sign of success with animals. 

With humans, not so much. Too much success can be a bad thing. 

Failure is bad, but too much success can kill you just as dead.

Facing a Scary World. Or Not.

 

It's a scary world out there, but sometimes you just have to 

come out of hiding and face your problem. 

Or climb a tree and call for you mom.

...it just means that no one will believe you, if they are really after you.
